McCain on Fox News Sunday discussing Gov. Palin selection

He starts off a little weak, offering a thin “judgment” argument, but hold on until the end where he really lays out the differences between Gov. Palin and Sen. Obama.

I think it is a net plus if the comparison continues to be between the top of the Democrat ticket and the second-slot on the GOP ticket. It diminishes Sen. Obama in a couple of ways — 1) it shows he can’t stack up to Sen. McCain (and honestly folks, by any objective measure, he doesn’t even come close) and 2) Gov. Palin, despite having a similar record of “experience” as compared to Sen. Obama, has a record of solid, tangible and identifiable RESULTS and real accomplishment. She doesn’t need to beg us to believe that merely “fighting for” this and “standing up for” that is sufficient. The pudding and the proof are all there.

By this measure, you may even make the argument that her resume is thicker than Joe Biden’s, who is really nothing but a dim and windy aristocrat, an insider’s insider who has been around for so long mainly because, well, he has always been there. I’ll take results over hollow bluster any day.
