ACLU Suing Over Discrimination Against Illegals
The ACLU announced today they were suing on behalf of a roofer in California, whose client stipulated none of his workers were illegal aliens. The owner of Do-It-Wright Roofing, Roberto Snergenbotham Wright III, when contacted by this reporter “I have been in roofing for 30 years and you can get no Americans to do the work for the wages I have to charge to stay competitive. Sure, I charge as much as Roof Masters over in Carthage but I gotta make a living too. If I had to make sure my workers were legals I’d have to charge a lot more and fire all my cousins” Roof Masters, who insists on hiring only legal citizens claimed Do-It-Wright hires illegals and undercuts their business.
The trouble started when Do-It-Wright provided an estimate for a customer, one Harry Oldsworth in Shortstrop. Mr. Oldsworth made the stipulation that none of Do-It-Wrights workers be illegal aliens. When Roberto Wright said he couldn’t agree to that Mr. Oldsworth said he couldn’t have the job. Mr. Wright called the ACLU who immediately filed suit on his behalf for discrimination.
When contacted for a statement on this story Mr. Oldsworth said “It ain’t right what’s happening in this country. When you get sued for demanding the folks you hire follow the law, it’s just insanity. I may even counter sue and demand those danged ACLU lawyers come roof my house personally.”
The ACLU, when contacted for a statement, claimed discrimination against undocumented workers is unconstitutional and downright mean and they mean to see an end to it. Claiming Americans are lazy and worthless they said if Americans would just got off their behinds and work for sub par wages the whole illegal alien undocumented worker problem would most likely fade away.
The case is scheduled for August 23rd, 2009. More on this as it develops.
