The Downfall of Britain Continues Unabated

Britain has been spiraling down into abject dhimmitude for some time. The latest idiocy is council members being asked not to eat during council meetings during Ramadan.
Councillors have been ordered not to eat during town hall meetings while Muslim colleagues fast during the holy month of Ramadan.
All elected members at Left-wing Tower Hamlets Council in East London have been sent an email asking them to follow strict Islamic fasting during September no matter what their faith.
As well as restricting food and drink until after sunset, the authority’s leaders have decided to reduce the number of meetings throughout the month so they do not clash with the requirements of Ramadan.
Now I have no problem with making an occasional exception to some norm for good reason, but I think that should go both ways.
The seven remaining meetings scheduled to take place will also include special prayer breaks to accommodate Muslim councillors.
So non-muslims are being told not to eat thereby accommodating muslims and then are being asked to take special breaks in their work day so muslims can pray? How many more accommodations shall we make? Why not ask the female council members to wear burkhas? Better yet, why don’t they just refuse to work with the women at all? If it was me I would not only eat during the meetings, I would be cooking bacon on a hotplate DURING the meeting. I might even adopt a pet pig and bring him to the meetings while claiming I was training him to be a seeing eye pig. Everyone knows pigs are smarter than dogs, so a pig may be a better companion for a blind person. Maybe one of the non-muslim council members should bring a dog to the meeting.
At least not all of these people are cowering simpletons willing to surrender their now limited freedoms.
But some members of the Labour-run council say the demands favour one religious group over the others. Dr Stephanie Eaton, leader of the Liberal Democrat group, said she would ignore the restrictions.
She said: “The Liberal Democrats have enormous respect for the contribution of all faith groups and cultures to the life of the community of Tower Hamlets. But we fervently believe that the rules of any one religion should not be imposed upon others.”
Of course the reason being given is that the muslim council members won’t be able to break their fast until the meeting is half over so the claim is the goal is saving enough food for the muslims.
So I have a suggestion as a compromise. Serve the normal refreshments and pork pies for those non-muslims who wish to eat before sundown. It shouldn’t bother the muslims as they won’t eat the pork anyway and it gives the non-muslims who don’t adhere to a backwards eighth century hate cult a chance to chow down.
