Stay Classy Daily Kos: Accusations Palin ‘Faked Her Pregnancy’ of Down’s Syndrome Baby

Taking a look at the stories in the Old Media will show that the Media is turning attack dog ASAP on McCain’s choice for vice president, Sarah Palin. Notice the main meme is her supposed “inexperience.” Funny how Palin was the VP pick for about 15 seconds before the Old Media went after her “inexperience” while they have yet to hit Barry Obama on HIS inexperience at all and he’s been running for president since 2004. We should also note that Palin didn’t get the honeymoon that Biden got when his announcement was made. But, the worst is yet to come and the Daily Kos is doing its level best to mine the lowest of lows. In a Kos diary today, it is being alleged that Sarah Palin “faked” the pregnancy of her last child, a baby born with Down’s Syndrome. The claim is that it was her teenaged daughter’s child, not hers. And, true to form, the Kossacks took that absurd calumny and hate even further in the comments.
With all the pseudo gravity the Kos diarist could muster, this ridiculous story of a “cover-up” was floated for the foolish Kossacks to lap up. Inky99 gave us the scurrilous diary headlined “Palin’s faked ‘pregnancy’? Covering for teen daughter?,” in which the Kossacks posit that Governor Palin covered up her own teenage daughter’s teen pregnancy by pretending it is her own child instead of her daughter’s.
But it appears that Pallin’s last child, a baby with Down’s syndrome, may not be hers. It may be that of her teenage daughter.
Actually, “it appears” in no way to be true. The diarist gives a story from the Anchoage Daily News that does not in any way prove the diarist’s claim — nor even broach the subject of a faked pregnancy, for that matter.
The Kos diarist then goes on to claim that the “proof” of this claim is that Palin’s teenage daughter was sick and out of public eye for a few months earlier in the year.
Apparently her teenage daughter was out of school, unseen, for months, because she “had mono”.
And, even if this story is true, why is it one worth pursuing? Why it’s because Palin is pro-life, you see…
… seeing as how she’s quite willing to butt into the private lives of every other American woman, I think it’s fair game.
Yeah. Stay classy Daily Kos.
And the diary entry isn’t the worst of it. The comments get more vicious as each one passes. Here are a few:
Commenter psilocynic posted, “Ethics violations out the ass. And she covered for her unwed prego teen! this keeps getting better! History, my dear kossacks. We are watching the death of the rethugican party!”
Next concernedamerican posted a slam on Palin’s commitment to her baby. “She decided not to take maternity leave with this pregnancy!!!! What’s up with that? With a special needs baby?” And then went on to accept the claims without proof saying, “Kind of hypocritical to push abstinence programs in schools and then cover up your own teenage daughter’s pregnancy with a lie that you had the baby yourself, dontcha think?”
Not4bushwa also assumed it was all true merely because it was posted on DailyKos, saying: “If Palin had come clean about her daughter or if McCain had vetted her more carefully and not chosen her, this would not be a story. But she didn’t and he didn’t. Tough luck, poor judgment, another right-wing hypocrite scandal.” And later wrote, “This is a big lie. Why the excessive secrecy? So much shame for a fairly common predicament–teenage pregnancy? I wonder: Who’s the father?”
Obviously, since a Kos diarist posted this garbage story, many Kossacks will simply believe it is true despite that there is no proof at all for even a single word of the accusations.
Poster sailmaker finds Motherhood so disgusting that he can’t imagine a vice president doing it, posting that his “mind boggles at the idea of a lactating VP.” That’s classy, isn’t it?
Poster Subversive really went for the gutter with, “The only thing missing from this story is that the baby wasn’t Black.”
Not content just to indulge in this conspiracy theory, poster TrentinaNE really went for the black helicopters. “Maybe it’s a set-up to get rid of McCain. The story(ies) about Palin come out, he looks like a doofus and withdraws from the race, the Rethugs nominate Romney. Sounds implausible, I know, but I wouldn’t write off anything in Roveland.”
I think someone forgot their meds that morning. What a nutcase theory that was!
These are just a few of the over-the-top posts on DailyKos concerning the lies that Palin faked her pregnancy. This is the sort of garbage we see everyday from the haters and rumormongers on extremist leftist sites like Kos and the Democratic Underground, even Huffington Post, for that matter.

What a brainless, non sequitur of a reply. Corsi made no such scurrilous charge at Barry Hussein Obama as what the Kossacks just did against Palin.
There is a certain strength that one gains when blogging from the basement of a parent’s home.
The Democrats are the party of racist woman-hating knuckledraggers. It’s been that way for two hundred and thirty years.

this story could be wrong, but it was “out there” in AK before she was announced. did mccain’s folks even check?
And it’s not that she’s pro-life that the story (if true) is worth pursuing. It’s the hypocrisy and lying that would make it worth pursuing…if it’s true.
This lie is typical of Kos, insinuate something and everybody jumps on it as if it were truth.
But just for conversation sake, what if it were true? So what. The daughter could have had an abortion, but no, she and the family decided to keep the baby.
Also, I heard ( don’t know if it’s true ), that Palin’s husband is staying home with the new born baby. The Liberals and Womens libbers should love this.
The liberal Media and its followers are a bunch of idiots. Experience Obama has some. He is very Experienced in terrorists friends and friends who are racists and Anti America. He has lots of Experience in that field. A 10th grade student has more experience then Obama in politics. At least they know how many states are in America. Obama is also highly experienced in the field of lieing. Obama welcomes Debate with John McCain on the night of his big lie speech but when it comes time to have the debate Obama says no. McCain should put the breaks on Obama an issue a debate and keep doing so to show how Obama will not debate because he knows nothing about the issues and policies.
Obama is a man of words that’s it. A words do not help or make this country better. Actions help and make this country better. Of all the shocking unanswered questions about Obama that the media just lets go unanswered shows they are in the pit with Obama with the lid closed. Anything to do with John McCain and unanswered questions the liberal Media is beating the war drums!
It’s the lie if true not the issue of teenage pregnancy which would be a private family matter….it’s the lie for those of you that seem to be confused abott what the real issue would be!
Republicans may have screwed up on their vetting.

I wonder if you see the irony in exactly WHY Palin is a “hero” in this.

Unfortunately, they don’t prove anything one way or the other.
If this rumour proves to be true then it will clearly signal the end of John McCain’s campaign.
But if it is false, will you publicly apologize for trying to smear a candidate’s child, let alone the candidate herself? If not, does that mean you’re advocating similar smear tactics be used on Barack Obama’s two daughters?
I’m most curious.
Look, it may be true, or it may not be, and I hope that it isn’t. The bottom line is that if mccain wins, she will be next in line to lead this country. Having such an important role in the future of our country demands that she be properly vetted. If anything, god forbid, would happen to mccain, we would have to trust the highest position in the country to her. Obama and Mccain have both definitely been the focus of some bizaar and targeted accusations, and they rightully should be. It’s all part of the process. Whether the story about her baby is true or not, we deserve to know if we are to trust the security and future of our childern to her leadership. Also, it’s not as if this story was fabricated as an attack directly after her gaining the vp slot. This rumor existed in Alaska prior to her acceptance as mccain’s vp. We will all know in time, but I feel that in order to suash this and keep the blood thirsty pundits at bay, she will have to show some solid evidence instead of just simply appealing to people’s moral integrity such as saying the ol’ “how dare you accuse me of that” line. This isn’t going away, and I hope it’s not true.
Both Obama & his wife are Anti-America and racist! They Both was in the Rev Wrights churches WITH THERE CHILDREN for 20 some years and hearing all the hate and did nothing but keep returning to the same church! If McCain went to a KKK so called church for 20 some years and said the same things Obama did when asked about it the NAACP and the media would be all over him. It’s a double standard for liberal democrats. Obama’s friends are a security risk for this country and again nothing is said or an investigation into these matters of friends he holds. So now the Big Media and so called civil rights groups look the other way when its one of there own. If not for Fox News and other web blogs we would be in total dark about Obama.
Hey, does this mean we can now post a few pictures of Michelle Obama in her famous sleeveless tops, side by side with transvestites, and point out how she “could look like one”, look at the arms, such muscles, such masculinity, and hey, the facial features kinda look masculine too….so she MUST be a transvestite, and that means her children are adopted.

This patently untrue but when has truth and accuracy gotten in the way of a smear campaign from the Daily Kos? Bill O’Reilly has them pegged to rights when he calls Daily Kos a “smear site.” This further proves it.
You don’t understand why if this turns out to be true — and right now none of us know whether it is or isn’t — that it would be a big deal? I don’t have any problem with it if she sequestered her pregnant daughter, but if she went to the absurd length of faking her own pregnancy in order to cover up her daughter’s, then that show a shocking lack of judgment and a certain soap opera mentality that has no place being a heartbeat away from the presidency. You can get all over Kos for rumor-mongering, but if this turns out to be true McCain will have to ditch her for another veep candidate, and that’ll be the end of his campaign. There are about a hundred reasons why Gov. Palin is a weak choice, most of them common-sense and not partisan in the least.
I don’t see any denial in this blog entry, only criticism of the rumor. The truth will out, whatever it may be.
It should be noted that the article about Palin is a dKos Diary. Anyone can create a diary on dKos. You can, I can.
So this “article” from DailyKos is one member of a large community expressing their viewpoint. It is not the same as Markos getting on CNN and making these statements.
That’s how sites like that work. It is no different than me posting on a forum at GOP.com. If I accuse Obama of being a unicorn in the GOP.com forums, would you put out a headline saying “GOP pulls old tricks and accuses Obama of being headline” ?
No, of course not.
And this story about Palin is circumstantial, but deserves to be vetted. Don’t ignore that.
I’ll bet my lunch money that by this time next week, this story will be proven true.
If it is true, she’s already stated that it was her kid (including parading the child on stage at the VP intro).
Which means, she’s a LIAR.

It doesn’t deserve to “be vetted.” It is obvious crap. It also isn’t a post by “one member” of the Kos community. There are quite a few different posts on this subject. The one I highlighted is but one of many. And it’s spreading.
What I hate about this is that good brain matter is going to waste. Why can’t they put their imagination to work and cure cancer or something? No they attack a women. They are all for women’s rights on the outside, in front of the media, but behind their own doors, women should be barefoot, knocked up and stay at home. The idea that her husband raises the family is so alien to them their brains lock up at the thought. Its really sad we are still this backward today and yet so advanced in other areas. I’m not surprised the DU or Kos said this – they have no morales … God, forgive them.

Game over Palin wins
I heard about this before this story. I’ve had 3 children and the LAST thing you should do when your water breaks is fly 8 hours to Alaska. Something not right!
I read Daily Kos regularly and read the comments section of the Kos diarist’s story about the pregnancy. Most of the comments expressed skepticism and disapproval of the story. The responses mostly thought it was unseemly to post rumors that could hurt the reputation of Palin’s 16 year old daughter. I think the majority of Daily Kos readers, myself included, don’t like those kinds of diaries.
I didn’t touch any of this story even though I have known it’s been sitting there in discussions on Alaskan newspaper websites and Blogs since the announcement of the Sarah Palin’s pregnancy. The thing most of them discuss is whether the girl, Bristol, was pregnant and whether got married… And that story has nothing to do with a fake pregnancy that others also talk about.
There are a lot of rumors out there about this family – pregnancies, drugs, premarital sex, elopements – and it is both the left and the right in Alaska that seem to have their own “Palin stories” that are not very flattering.
Like I said… I didn’t take any of that stuff seriously because there isn’t any hard evidence. “Smoke!>>>Fire?” is all it is for now. Just speculation from unknown sources.
Besides… There is enough real dirt on her that is true and factual to turn Palin upside down and make her look like as bad a pick as Harriet Myers for the SCOTUS was when bush jumped the shark.
And as a defense of the Kossacks I would add that, at very least, they didn’t advocate for pulling a Michelle Malkin type stalking of the family. It is no different than many of the diaries at Red State or a Corsi book. Just like their diary is speculation – though a tad relentless in it – so will this diary be marked as pure speculation and swept into the dustbins of farce if any of the many rumors turn out to be true.
Of course, McCain’s team COULD have vetted the issue and found it false. But I’m really astonished by the degree of hatred oozing from Kos… it’s quite chilling and a bit sickening.
How could you be surprised? This IS the Democratic Party! They are all like that.

McCain: Yeah. There were some pretty vile and hurtful things said during the South Carolina primary. It’s a really nasty side of politics. We tried to ignore it and I think we shielded her from it. It’s just unfortunate that that sort of thing still exists As you know she’s Bengali, and very dark skinned. A lot of phone calls were made by people who said we should be very ashamed about her, about the color of her skin. Thousands and thousands of calls from people to voters saying “You know the McCains have a black baby” I believe that there is a special place in hell for people like those.

The problem isn’t that she kept the baby. That she should be applauded for. The question is: did Sarah Palin lie to cover up her daughters new baby?
All Kossacks are trying to do is uncover whether she lied. I understand that any mother would do this for their child but in this case we are dealing with an inexperienced poorly vetted vP candidate who would be a heartbeat away from the presidency.
LC, BOY do I disagree with that. There is no “all they are trying to do” as if it is all innocent. They are lairs, they KNOW they are liars and are trying to make a lie stick regardless of the truth. THAT’S what Democrats do to win arguments. They say the lie over and over until too many people who haven’t bothered to find out the facts just believe the lie. There is a saying: a lie is all the way ’round the world before the truth gets its boots on. That is not a saying for nuthin.’ The left understands this tactic all too well. Should be very easy for Palin to dispell these rumors, everyone takes baby pictures at the hospital these days, usually just minutes after the baby is born. With every cell phone having a camera and all I’m sure some family member has a mythbusting shot that will be on the web any minute now.
Lookie here now. Talk about social conservatism. Palin having an underage daughter engaging in premarital sex and now popping out a baby in four months.
Talk about hypocrisy. Coming from the Republican Party, an ardent supporter and “champion” of abstinence education. Apparently Palin can’t even manage her childrens’ lives properly and raise them to at least delay sex until they’re adults.
If Sara Palin is lying about being pregnant with Trig, its a big issue for me! I’m sure it would be for a substantial number of people. She needs to address this. Proof needs to be shown.
