Since the New Deal a troubling number of Americans have come to believe that it IS government's responsibility to be charitable for them. According to Arthur C. I couldn’t agree with you more. Since the New Deal a troubling number of Americans have come to believe that it IS government’s responsibility to be charitable for them. According to Arthur C. Brooks in “Who Really Cares” those who have those socialist views of government practice less charity than those who don’t.
