McCain VP Rumor Open Thread

We’ll know soon enough, but in the meantime…discuss. I know it won’t be Fred Thompson unfortunately. I think it would be smart if he chose a woman like Palin or Hutchinson. The biggest chatter, however, is Romney and Pawlenty. Who do you think he will pick?

McCain is not smart enough to pick Sarah Palin. I bet he never spent more than 5 minutes considering how this would get him both the huge libertarian vote + a ton of Clintonite PUMAs who don’t care about anything except seeing a woman get elected.
Palin is the only choice that would make me vote for McCain (I am a libertarian Republican living overseas).
He’ll go with Romney. It’s the safe choice. I hate Romney. He reminds me of a used car salesman.
A private jet was chartered last night and went from Anchorage Alaska to Middleton Ohio (just outside Dayton. Take it for what it’s worth but many see that as a sign it could be Sarah Palin for McCain’s VP.
