The Mexican government said that this was considered 'illegal detainment' once the plane crossed the border and insisted (successfully) that we could only take them back to the border and let them go. Of course, the next day the same border crossers are back in the desert. So, the Mexican government not only approves of the illegal border crossings, they encourage them. We have no control over Mexico but we do have control over our own governments. If the LA city council doesn't change its ideas here then I think there will be a big vote to change in the next election. Unfortunatley, they have also made it easy for illegals to vote so maybe not. Yet another reason I left the crazy state of California. It wasn't a liberal who granted amnesty to illegals, it was Reagan. It's not liberals who are now fighting for amnesty, it is the republicans. The cheap labor helps big business, they are the only real winners in this that I can see. Let's consider for a moment big banks, like Bank of America, who will grant bank accounts and MORTGAGES with NO SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER and no proof of legal residency.
