If this were 1980 or 1984, would Ronald Reagan's GOP have to even CAMPAIGN in these states to win in November? To be fair, people aren't flocking to the Democrats because they are winning a war of ideas. But the knock on the Dems, "tax-and-spend", seems a lesser evil than the suicidal GOP platform of "less-tax and spend-even-more". Could a Barack Obama have stood a reasonable chance at winning (he's now the favorite) before the Bush Era?
