I had already gone through pre processing for the Air Force. I spent 4 years in the AF, a year of that at DaNang. It never occurred to me to flee. I did my duty and am damn proud of it. Some cowards (not consciencious objectors who served honorably) fled to Canada then. Ex President Jimmy Carter pardoned them all and let them resume normal life here--he is the worst president I remember in my 67 years of life. They should still be freezing off their butts off in the snow. Anyone unwilling to defend this country does not deserve to live here--this country was bought and preserved by the brave military who served at great risk. I do not know how anyone could volunteer for the military and think that they would not have to go into combat if so ordered. This guy deserves all that is coming to him.
