Several things come to mind about these so called trials at GITMO, The meaning of "war crimes" as defined by the trials of some war criminals in Germany, after WW 2, there are laws, international in scope that defines the rules of war, which in this conflict of the USA against the middle east have been pretty much ignored and would have been totally ignored, had it not been for Orgs. such as the ACLU. Does anyone in their right mind think that Bin Laden's driver was a part of planning the attack on the Trade Center Buildings? To me, the idea that some guy, walking around in Afghanstan, carring a few cell phones and a road map organized the attack on the world trade center is all most laughable. That does not mean that the Saudis might very well have had a lot to do with that attack. After all, 17 out of 20 or close to that were from Saudia Arabia, training paid for by the Arab world, and since Saudia Arabia is still the largest funder of terrorism, I am inclined to think the Royal Family and friends had far more to do with the bombing that the goat herder this attack has been blamed on. And my bet is that Osama Bin Laden is alive and well, living in comfort in some small palace in Saudia Arabia. OK, as someone else has said, they convicted a truck driver of driving a truck.
