A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To An Execution

What was it? Let’s look at the Reuters headline
Pardon me? I wasn’t aware that Democrats had completely taken over and abdicated our judicial system to the World Court.
It gets better, too!
Texas defied the World Court and executed a Mexican national by lethal injection on Tuesday over the objections of the international judicial body and neighboring Mexico.
Jose Medellin, 33, was pronounced dead at 9:57 p.m. CDT in the state’s death chamber in Huntsville, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice said.
He had been condemned for the 1993 rape and murder of 16-year-old Elizabeth Pena in Houston and lost his bid late Tuesday for a last-minute stay from the U.S. Supreme Court.
The World Court last month ordered the U.S. government to “take all measures necessary” to halt the upcoming executions of five Mexicans including Medellin’s on the grounds that they had been deprived of their right to consular services after their arrests.
Fortunately, Texas, the Supreme Court, and the U.S. government told the World Court to blow it out their collective a……. well, you know.
Of course, in a country completely controlled by Liberals/progressives, there would be no executions of criminals to start with, despite the Constitution allowing them. Well……, executions would be allowed for business executives and conservatives they do not like. Or, is that assassinations?
Oh, BTW, Duncan at And Rightly So!, catches an important part in a different article
Chief Justice John G. Roberts wrote for a 6-3 majority that international court judgments cannot be forced upon individual states. The president also cannot “establish binding rules of decision that pre-empt contrary state law,” he said, and the treaty itself does not specifically require states to remedy any treaty violations.
Give liberals time, give ‘em time.

As far as I’m concerned Reuters can take the World Court stick them where the sun don’t shine, Reuters is a socialist propagandist news outlet which has no credibility, they should be ignored (ò¿ó)
Great post! The World Court is a joke. If we let them have their our Constitution would be replaced with Sharia law.
Oops…meant to say “their way”.
Of course you fail to see the bigger picture. If we defy the World Court and every other International agreement that our country has made, then how can we expect to receive the same respect from the world? If this had been an American executed over some ridiculous Islamic law, I’m sure we’d all be crying out that they violated the International Law.
