And he won! Talk about the hunting of a President! It’s telling that the folks who are pushing this meme that President Obama has had the fastest and steepest decline of any President fail to mention that no other President has ever been subjected to daily tracking polls. Previous presidents would have the breathing room of months between polls. It’s even more telling how some folks cherry pick Rasmussen, a republican pollster whose uses a likely voter model that notoriously undercounts Democrats. He only gets it right when he adjusts his model to more fairly represent Democrats. And why he is using a likely voter model 3 years before the next election?! So what he’s had a decline! He’s had the many times before and he always wins! I have been highly critical of the President’s handling of health care reform, but it is way too premature to be dancing on his political grave. If the American public was willing to give George W.
