So…. How many days have passed and: no photos, no witnesseses, no coverage in any major news outlets. Gee….. Almost makes me wonder if the story I heard about a homosexual affair between John McCain and Dick Cheney might not be true. Or even the one about Karl Rove performing blood sacrifices to Satan using Girl Scouts in the White House sub-basement. Or the one about……

Let me get this straight he goes into the hotel all stealth like alone, to re-emerge with his alleged lover to parade outside the hotel, all the while reporters are milling about.The couple return together to the hotel but then later the next morning he skulks away alone. Oh yeah that makes total sense, especially at the Beverly Hills Hilton in Los Angeles the mother ship of papparazzi. Oh yeah this is real credible…not!

why no pictures? the enquirer was staking it out, saw them LEAVE the hotel together, caught him the the lobby and have NO PHOTOS?

1) who really cares? hes’ not running
2) let’s say we do care. they better have pictures. mayb ehtey are waiting for him to say ‘i wasn’t there’ and then they will produce them.
he should not address it and if anyone asks he should say “i don’t read the enquirer. i won’t comment. i can’t help you.”

that’ll take 19 brillaint minds about a billion dollars to figure out.

Maybe he ran into Larry Craig in the bathroom.
It makes no difference, as long as he is not running for office, or seeking a cabinet appointment, or supreme court appointment. If he stays in the private sector, which he should, the matter is between him and his (extended) family.

He could be caught fondling baby boys and having his mistress fist him at the same time and the media will bury it. Just like this story.

Demorats don’t have to worry about sexual infidelity or rude behaviour.

I would have to guess this was all a hoax, Story was listed on drudge at 7:00 Am eastern time, shortly after the story is gone and cant be found. Could it be that the drudge jumped in without checking the source ????

Alan Butterfield is the Enquirer reporter claiming to have witnessed Edwards in the hotel for a rendezvous with his alleged mistress.

“For those unfamiliar, Butterfield is a reporter for the National Enquirer-yes, the supermarket tabloid-and is the one who “broke” the gay sex-ring story about Ed Smart and several of his brothers. The story was based on information obtained from unnamed sources. Later it became known that some unnamed sources were paid $10,000 each. In the end, the information proved to be false and two reporters, Kevin Cantera and Michael Vigh of The Salt Lake Tribune, were fired due to their involvement in the fiasco.”
