Jesse Jackson Dropped the N Word in Obama Rant

Posted on July 16, 2008

Here is the latest news on Jackson’s Obama rant!

TVNewser has been sent the transcript of what Jesse Jackson said Sunday morning July 6, as he prepared for an interview on Fox & Friends Weekend. Below is the partial transcript we received in our tips box, and confirmed to be authentic by Fox News Channel representatives.

Barack…he’s talking down to black people…telling n—s how to behave.
So, yes. Jesse Jackson did use the “N” word. But it was not directed at Barack Obama. Fox News and Bill O’Reilly have maintained there was more on the tape, but that the un-aired portion was not relevant to the issue at hand: about whether Obama was “talking down” to the black community.

Reactions…

Hot Air:

He slipped, but his intent wasn’t bad — just as the New Yorker’s wasn’t, I hasten to add — and his attempt to get entertainers to rein in their N-bomb usage is salutary. Where he does go too far is in flirting with criminalizing the word. He told the Today Show two years ago that public utterances should qualify as hate speech and he’s asserted before, quite matter-of-factly, that the word is unprotected by the First Amendment, presumably per the “fighting words” exception. Somebody, quick — arrest that man.

Michelle Malkin:

Hey, remember when Jesse Jackson called for a boycott of Seinfeld DVDs to protest Kramer actor Michael Richard’s use of the n-word? The rev-uh-rund had a conniption fit over the word and demanded that everyone refrain from using the word onstage and off.

Gateway Pundit:

Could you imagine if that would have been a white conservative mumbling that on tape?
The double standards in our society are outrageous.

Rhymes with Right:

Frankly, I’m offended that Fox News protected Jesse that way — after all, he crusaded against use of that word by Michael Richards at a comedy club, and wanted to destroy his career for it, and demanded that NO ONE use the word. Indeed, he defined blacks who use it as “self-hating”.

It’s too bad that the mainstream media is bent on defending each “faux pas” uttered by committed leftists like Jesse Jackson. The double standard wielded against conservatives should be considered anathema to all clear-thinking individuals. Be strong, my fellow right-wingers; always remember that the Left and their allies have never — and will never — vanquish us!

This latest Jesse incident serves to highlight his irrelevancy – a bit of an oxymoron.

It’s funny how you never hear Caucasian people calling each other Whitie…Cracker, Hispanics calling themselves SPIC…BEANERS, Chinese calling themselves CHINK and other races calling themselves something derogatory. So why would it be O.K for JACKSON or anyother African American to call one another the “N” word…
