Barry: Cartoon Insulted Muslims

Posted on July 16, 2008

Now, would that be the moderate ones, who we rarely hear from, but supposedly are against extremist Islamists, or the Islamists themselves? You know, the ones that say that Islam is a religion of peace, and will kill you if you disagree

Democrat Barack Obama said Tuesday that the New Yorker magazine’s satirical cover depicting him and his wife as flag-burning, fist-bumping radicals doesn’t bother him but that it was an insult to Muslim Americans.

“You know, there are wonderful Muslim Americans all across the country who are doing wonderful things,” the presidential candidate told CNN’s Larry King. “And for this to be used as sort of an insult, or to raise suspicions about me, I think is unfortunate. And it’s not what America’s all about.”

Everything is an insult in Liberal World, every jab a personal offense, every joke now causing victimhood. I’ve been saying for years that these folks on the left have no humor, and this does not change my mind, as Obama plays the victim card. It’s no wonder those in the humor business are having trouble finding a joke, much less a punch line.

Say, I wonder if Barry is willing to discuss the disgusting cartoons, paintings, sayings, and caricatures of Bush and Condi?

What a crock. My first impulse when I heard Barry make this statement was to run abd blog about it, but now you’ve done it so I don’t have to.

Sure, take offense, Obama, that they made fun of you. Fine. Pretty thin-skinned, but fine. But to say some shot at you is somehow offensive to the entire world of Muslims residing in America is garbage. So if somebody makes fun of Carot-top, every white red-head in America has now been offended and can play the victim card? What a load.

Democratic politics – divide, divide, divide.

Why is this such a big deal?? In the last 7 1/2 years, there have been countless depictions of Bush as dumb, a cowboy, etc. Numerous comments have been made about Bush’s poor speaking, I remember cartoons and jokes about John Kerry, and everyone looked at it smiled and went about their way. Now, someone DARES to criticize Obama? PAH-LEEZE!! What makes him immune to criticism?

But wait, I thought that the obama isn’t muslim? If jabbing at him is a jab at all muslims, then doesn’t that by default make him a stand in for all things muslim?

If you look at the cartoon, it doesn’t say that he’s a muslim, it just said that he sort of resembles one. Which, parody or not, is true. The cartoon, and for that matter the people who talk about Obama being a muslim aren’t saying that all muslims are bad, they’re just saying that he’s being dishonest about his religion.

In the pages of the NYT he recited a muslim prayer in “perfect arabic” and said that the muslim call to prayer is the most beautiful sound he’s ever heard…
and he made a point of wanting to be called Barack and not Barry, and we, the voting public have no right to question just how this weirdo is?

The insult in this case is in the eyes and ears of the beholder.

Obama has taken offense because he knows it’s true. If you look at everything he gets upset about it is the truth. Like the Rev. Wright outcome. He was mad and turned his story to defend it every way he could. You don’t see Bush and others who have been made fun of getting all out of shape. Why because they know it’s not true. But Obama on the other hand gets out of shape when you tell the truth about him and his past. That’s why you don’t see Obama on a One on One debate. He falls apart when trying his best to lie about things. His views are liberal and there is nothing he can do to change it even if he tries to come to the middle. Obama wants it both ways to get into Office and it’s not going to work. His base is falling apart because they don’t know what he will change his mind on. Like I said before Obama is not a leader but a follower of others idea’s.
