It wasn’t the Bernie Mac Obama thought he knew

Posted on July 13, 2008

I guess lots of readers have heard of the “sexist” joke made by raunchy comedian Bernie Mac at an Obama fundraiser. Some details here. Anything that speaks ill of women is sexist, of course. But you can mock men all you like.

I have not so far seen anyone put up a full version of the joke as told at the Obama function but it is a very old and well-known joke anyhow. Below is the last version of it that I heard. You will see that it actually speaks ill of men too. Or does it? Is it bad to accuse a man of homosexuality? We keep being told that it not:

“A young boy went up to his father and asked him, “Dad, what is the difference between potentially and realistically?” The father thought for a moment, then answered, “Go ask your mother if she would sleep with Robert Redford for a million dollars. Then ask your sister if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars. Then ask your brother if he’d sleep with Tom Cruise for a million dollars. Come back and tell me what you learn from that.”

So the boy asked his mother and she replied, “Of course I would! I wouldn’t pass up an opportunity like that.” The boy then asked his sister and she replied, “Oh my God! I would just love to do that! I would be nuts to pass up that opportunity!” The boy then went to his brother and asked, “Would you sleep with Tom Cruise for a million dollars?” “Of course,” the brother replied. “Do you know how much a million could buy?”

The boy pondered that, then went back to his dad. His father asked him, “Did you find out the difference between potentially and realistically?” The boy replied, “Yes,dad. Potentially, we’re sitting on three million dollars. But realistically, we’re living with two sluts and a queer.

Bernie Mac is well-known for profane language so Obama should have known what he was getting when he approved the hiring of the man. But Obama often seems to find out with surprise that people he knew were not what he thought they were.

Maybe Obama shouldn’t hire comedians, if he can’t take a joke. Maybe the people paying shouldn’t pay to go to these gigs. I mean, they should have been informed Bernie Mac was going to perform. If they don’t like him, don’t pay $2,000.00 to see a comedian at a political venue. Maybe they should have hired, Sarah Silverman; She has perfect mouth! Thanks, for making us laugh! Here’s to the artist!

    Cheers.

I posted this on another blog too, hope I get an answer from someone somewhere:

Can someone explain this quote for me, please? “All you got is mouth and a bunch of men riding your back “. Some Obama supporter was saying this on the McCain blog. I figured it must be something regarding the Obama campaign. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Also, I’m not too familiar with the new slang. Does “go get an abortion” mean the same thing as “go away” for the Obama supporters? Slowly but surely, I’m learning the new language. Thanks once again.

Sorry, dazed, my Moronese to English dictionary does not have full sentences. It does have a helpful guide and one hint that states, “Do not try to understand what is being said by a moron, just understand that it has no meaning.”

    “Feel me?”

Either candidate is a choice we have to make for our future. It’s like taking a job as a mechanic in a shop where you can’t use your tools. Freedom of expression seems to be dying on the vine, and the winos can’t be removed from office. Problem is, the real winos’, and whiners can’t easily remove the virus and bacteria from the halls of justice.

It’s no wonder, why so many natives prefer wine over women and song. I too feel this way, The White House is a antichrist and is starting to make us prosecute each other for any paranoid feelings we may have, because of jealously, greed, or envy. Franklin, Adams, or Washington, would be stopping this country about now, if they knew how the skeleton has come to a new life of ridicule at it’s own death.

I still believe in this country, but small businesses are in dire straights because of executive level impropriaties. It’s going take years for us to recover. Either canidate will look bad, and even the next presidential elects after that will still look bad. It may take 12-16 years to prosecute all the errors in judgement these officials have created. We need some term limits and bans of lobby privilages for post retired reps and dems. All jokes aside, just an opinion. Thanks for listening, Carlin had it right. Thanks George, we will miss you.
