MSM Takes Credit For Exposing Fauxtography on Iranian Missiles that Belongs to Bloggers
Tip to Jim Hoft!
The Iranian thugocracy doctored a photo adding in a fourth missile, most likely to cover up a failed one. The blogosphere exposed the manipulated photo. Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs was the first to the scene. However, the New York Times blog, The Lede, is taking credit for exposing this even though their report was given much later. FOX, obviously slacking on research, also credits the lede.
I’m not sure who exposed it, or how much credit Brian Ledbetter of SnappedShot should have (he was filling my email box), or LAHawk, but I can see that Charles Johnson exposed the picture as a photoshop at 9:00 PM Eastern last night while the NYT filed the same story at 9:00 AM this morning.
Whether CJ (Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs) deserves all the credit, I don’t know. I do know the NYT deserves little of it, and ought to stop claiming otherwise.

So quick to complain about others getting things wrong!
So when is this blog going to admit Obama’s Birth Cert as presented is a fraud, and that the claim by AJStrata that it is not a fraud is total bunkum? After all you did sign on to AJ’s loony analysis.
AJStrata debunked:

Who exactly is surprised that the Iranian government alters news images? And why?
You’re right about the NYT getting the story slowly. Photorants and I both posted at about the same time as the Times. I don’t remember seeing LGF’s post at the time – and I looked. (maybe their am and pm are mixed up?) I like LGF, so I could be mistaken. But in any event, I believe the first to figure it out are the Israelis (given the time zone difference, they were awake when clearly the MSM here were asleep – literally and figuratively). http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3566548,00.html

The issue, though, is still why the NYT and others didn’t notice the hoax photo in the first place. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out. The threat from Iran is real. The picture was fake.
