Hot Mic Catches Jesse Jackson Slamming Obama on Race

Update: Jesse Jackson responds:
REV. JESSE JACKSON APOLOGIZES TO SEN. BARACK OBAMA FOR ‘CRUDE AND HURTFUL COMMENTS’ CAUGHT BY OPEN MIC… CNN DESCRIBES AS ‘UGLY WORDS,’ ‘VERY, VERY DISPARAGING’; JACKSON IN ‘DEEP DISTRESS’… FOX NEWS IN POSSESSION OF TAPE AND WILL PLAY IN ENTIRETY TONIGHT ON ‘O’REILLY’, ‘HANNITY AND COLMES’; OBAMA: NO COMMENT… DEVELOPING…
Jackson Statement: For any harm or hurt that this hot mic private conversation may have caused, I apologize. My support for Senator Obama_s campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal. I cherish this redemptive and historical moment.
_My appeal was for the moral content of his message to not only deal with the personal and moral responsibility of black males, but to deal with the collective moral responsibility of government and the public policy which would be a corrective action for the lack of good choices that often led to their irresponsibility.
_That was the context of my private conversation and it does not reflect any disparagement on my part for the historic event in which we are involved or my pride in Senator Barack Obama, who is leading it, whom I have supported by crisscrossing this nation in every level of media and audience from the beginning in absolute terms.”
Radio host Sean Hannity just revealed that FOX News is in possession of an exclusive tape of Reverend Jesse Jackson, recorded after a recent interview when he thought the microphone was off, slamming Barack Hussein Obama for “talking down black people on matters of faith” (Hannity also has said it as “talking down to black people on matters of faith”) among other issues.
Hannity also intimated that Jackson says he wants to “rip Obama’s nuts off” on the tape.

O’Reilly:
O’REILLY: ‘We held back some of this conversation… we didn’t feel it had any relevance to the conversation this evening. We are not out to get Jesse Jackson. We are not out to embarrass him and we are not out to make him look bad. If we were, we would have used what we had, which is more damaging than what you have heard’…
The Rev. Jesse Jackson apologized Wednesday for saying Barack Obama is “talking down to black people” during what he thought was a private conversation with a FOX News reporter Sunday.
Jackson was speaking at the time about Obama’s speeches in black churches and his support for faith-based charities. Jackson added, “I want to cut his nuts off.”
Jackson called a hastily arranged press conference in Chicago late Wednesday, where he said he supports Obama “unequivocally” and that he hopes to “get this behind me.”
Wow Jesse! Cut his nuts off? Really??? I will not blame Obama when he throws this loser under the famous bus!
Jackson may have done Obama a bit of a favor. Mainstream America has long distrusted Jackson, and anything that puts distance between him and Obama can only help support Obama’s status as a member of the new generation of black politicians. He didn’t do himself any favors by attacking Obama; it will underscore his identification as a mostly discredited has-been.

Can anyone say: Hymietown? Shades of 1984 all over again.
ALOHA LITTLE KAHONIES
We should all chip in to buy Jesse a small pair of clippers … after which, he’d have a couple of little items to raffle off in the next Obama fund raiser.
