RNC Launch Ad Attacking Obama on Energy

Posted on July 6, 2008

3 million buy in four key states attacking Obama on energy. Worth it? You tell me. The part about believing the “climate change” myth bugs me.

Record gas prices, a climate in crisis. John McCain says solve it now, with a balanced plan — alternative energy, conservation, suspending the gas tax AND more production here at home. He’s pushing his own party to face climate change.

But Barack Obama? For conservation, but he just says no to lower gas taxes. No to nuclear. No to more production. No new solutions. Barack Obama: Just the party line.

Gun Toting Liberal:

Mr. Obama had better take another look at his so-called “Energy Policy”. It SUCKS. Alternative fuels and 500 mile carburetors? Okay, Sir — WHEN? We need it NOW. This SECOND. America’s suffering greatly, Sir. You say “It would take ten years to start pumping oil domestically” and dismiss the idea on that premise only? Guess what, Sir? The MOMENT our GUTLESS Democrats and Republicans in Congress and the Senate open up ANWR to “Big Oil”, then REGULATE gasoline as the utility it truly is (How can you regulate natural gas as a “utility” and NOT gasoline? Contradictory, isn’t it?) is the moment the Saudi terrorists begin to play fair in the “Big Oil” game. Not only would opening up ANWR get their attention, the value of TERRORIST oil would drop simply on the news alone. Wake up, Mr. Obama, and smell the coffee.

Hot Air:

“… Obama lost in the first three states during the primaries, and with his refusal to produce more energy, the three Rust Belt states have little prospect of rebounding from economic turmoil from the loss of manufacturing. The kind of energy needed to create those kinds of jobs will be out of reach with continued obstruction of new energy production as well as the emissions caps that Obama envisions for his environmental policies. …”

Drew M at Ace’s:

Two lines from the spot really stuck out to me, “A Climate In Crisis” and “He’s pushing his own party to face climate change”. I know this ad is targeting moderates and independents but shouldn’t the RNC be spending its money reaching out to you know, Republicans?

I’d like to thank the RNC for making it easier for me to not feel bad about laughing when I throw their solicitation letters in the trash.

Just as Carter was required to get a Reagan I feel it is better to get an Obama so we may rid the party of RINOs.

I can’t understand why more people can’t see it. McCain is the Frog Boiler!

What do I mean? There is an old allegory about how to boil a frog. It is said that if you drop a frog into a pot of boiling water it will immediately jump out.

But if you drop a frog in water that is slightly warm and turn up the heat gradually then the frog just sits there and lets itself be boiled alive, without attempting to jump out of the pot, without even knowing that it is indeed being boiled alive.

This allegory has been applied again, and again regarding the American people’s reaction to liberalism/socialism. And it is pretty clear who is who if you apply this allegory to this year’s election.
