I agree with Shannon. Although I would change #2 to: Statistically, minorities are more likely to be put to death for the same crimes that whites. See this article. Oldie but a goodie. I'm sure that similar articles and studies have been done lately.

Should just strike down Capital Punishment. Period. 1) There is no chance to fix a mistake once done and 2) There is no chance to rehabilitate the person, ever and 3) Costs less.

Of course, from Obama’s point of view, withholding insufficient income from the tax man is sufficiently “narrow, limited, and well defined…” then it is your turn to become a meat windchime.

It is too late to prevent the child from being raped. Lock the bugger up, weld the bars shut. Arrange for strong electric shocks to be delivered at random intervals, with a control set which gives him a chance to avoid some of the shocks, so he has to pay attention, constantly. When he dies, fill the cell with concrete.

I don’t trust the government with the power of life or death.
