Such a simpleton view of the political landscape in America and the west in general tells me why this site, its readers and its author seek to stop ‘American Civil Liberties’. The left to right political continuum refers ONLY to economics. It is a simplistic left-right view of the political landscape that does not distinguish between economic leftists like Stalin and Gandhi.

Both an economic dimension and a social dimension are important factors for a proper political analysis. By adding the social dimension you can show that Stalin was an authoritarian leftist (ie the state is more important than the individual) and that Gandhi, believing in the supreme value of each individual, is a liberal leftist.

The reality according to speeches, writings and most importantly voting record is that Obama, Clinton and all other Dem candidates, EXCEPT KUCINICH, are RIGHT WING AUTHORITARIANS!

There’s another term for right wing authoritarianism that’s more extreme than conservatism known as FASCISM. Fascism and Communism are similar totalitarian ideologies. The more a centralized govt and its politicians are controlled and ruled by corporations Fascist gov’t is controlled or ruled by corporations, the more Fascist it has become. The more a centralized gov’t and its politicians control and rule corporations, the more Communist it has become..

WHat nonsense???? Obama will NOT keep us safe by destroying our military. That is what has kept us strong. Like Teddy Roosevelt said, speak kindly, but have a BIG stick. WE NEED OUR MILITARY as strong as possible.

Nice article. I concur with your analysis but the problem is what is the alternative? A Republican Party that wishes to grow government slower? A candidate that shares Obama’s views except for a slightly stronger application of American power? A candidate who has trampled on the Constitution and has disregarded his oath to defend the Constitution during the amnesty debates. Do you really trust this man or the party that put him in power?

Perhaps its time to start anew. If the nation splits apart so be it. Better a smaller nation dedicated to freedom and liberty than one pushing us into a people’s paradise one toilet, one light bulb, and one Supreme Court decision at a time.

I think that you are right on target about Obama and his larger than life persona. He is truly a dangerous person because so many brainwashed people have been sucked into this vortex of nonsense. Obama does not have any real plan to help the poor and so far doesn’t even mention the poor only the middle class and the rich. Wake up black people, you are not included in Obama’s new world order, you are not worthy. Also I once thought that Obama was the one who could bring change and help to the people but when I read that he plans to stop funding for our missle defense system and halt all nuclear war and protection systems that are keeping us safe, I wonder which side he is truly on? I believe that it is safe to say that Obama is more and more looking like a wolf in sheeps clothing who will say and do what he has to to get elected. Also I believe that he is not of God since he can so casually throw away his church and pastor which he said actually brought him to Christ without a backwards glance and it is so obvious that he is in love with the sound of his own voice. I think that the American people need to wake up and open their eyes to this deceiver who will deliver us to evil and bring ruin on our beautiful country and destroy us all.
For those who do not see Obama as the destroyer, notice this: all of the people that have gone out on a limb for Obama are falling left and right, from power and to death. Look at Iowa, the place where Obama started and see the destruction that has come upon them! I am only making an observation and hope that these examples of disaster will not be visited on all of us for not recognizing Obama for what he is. God help us if he is elected President.
