Bob Dole Slams McClellan
“There are miserable creatures like you in every administration who don’t have the guts to speak up or quit if there are disagreements with the boss or colleagues,” Dole wrote in a message sent yesterday morning. “No, your type soaks up the benefits of power, revels in the limelight for years, then quits, and spurred on by greed, cashes in with a scathing critique.” …
“In my nearly 36 years of public service I’ve known of a few like you,” Dole writes, recounting his years representing Kansas in the House and Senate. “No doubt you will ‘clean up’ as the liberal anti-Bush press will promote your belated concerns with wild enthusiasm. When the money starts rolling in you should donate it to a worthy cause, something like, ‘Biting The Hand That Fed Me.’ Another thought is to weasel your way back into the White House if a Democrat is elected. That would provide a good set up for a second book deal in a few years[.]”
Who knew Bob Dole was so cool?

Bob Dole is cool. He’s one of the old guys, you gotta respect and love.
Jay, from what I’ve read from everyone coming out and getting ready to hang McClellan, is none of them are coming out and refuting anything he’s saying. They are just in attack mode. I could be wrong.
What McClellan did was wrong, and broke the biggest “code of man” known in the man-universe.(For you non-Italians, that means hes a rat) But, I would like to see someone come out strongly, and say here’s why he’s wrong.
He is wrong simply because his accusations have absolutely no proof whatsoever or are as ambiguous as hell.
He is wrong because he states that just because two people who work together have been seen meeting privately that he knows the subject of what they were discussing.
He is wrong because he was there at the time of these supposed wrongdoings and did not speak up. If he truly witnessed something as egregious as he now contends, he is wrong because by just going along with it, he is either as guilty as those he charges or he just plain does not have any balls whatsoever.
He is wrong because he releases this so-called information, in the form of a book deal in which he was advanced $100,000 just in time to try to influence a presidential election.
He is wrong because at one time he argued the exact opposite of what he is now saying, this at the time the events were going down.
He is wrong because he has finally revealed what many of us suspected all along, well, let’s just say, “He’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, one patty short of a hamburger.”
Hey, how about that surge?
Awesome.
!
The Machine…I didn’t say he wasn’t wrong. I said, I want to see someone say “And here’s why he’s wrong”.
Personal attacks on the lack of charator of this slimy rat aside, I want someone who was there, to come out and counter what he’s said.
You haven’t. All you did was say the samethings I’ve heard everyone else say. Do you work for the “RNC”? LOL
Oh, and Machine, read Peggy Noonans column.

But, I have a feeling you’ve been “Hannitized” in believing she isn’t conservative anymore either.
When Scott was press secretary I always thought he was weak and in way over his head. Now he is getting beat up by an octogenarian while they fawn over him on the Today Show. Just when you thought he could not get more ignominious.
There is little downside for Bob “Third-person” Dole. He can only go up. He might be a designated attack dog for the upcoming election.
