Spike Lee should acknowledge that Eastwood directed a nearly all black cast in a wonderful film about an African-American artist by the name of Charlie Parker. How can that be ignored?

I have always been interested in the history of warfare and i knew right away that spike was wrong about our armed forces in 1945. Clint is totally right our army and marines were segregated.
The Black units in the 3rd, 4th and 5th marine divisions were the 51st defense reg. including the 8th ammunition company and other depot companys. no black marines stormed the beach at Iwo Jima. However, 10 days after the island was declared secure the Japenese attacked and got behind American lines. The black companys fought as Americans always do, with courage and valor. In that short battle 2 were killed and 2 received the bronze star.
Depot, supply and ammunition are as critical to the success of our army as the front line but history is history and we can’t change it because it makes us uncomfortable. I would suggest to Spike Lee to think of himself as an American and be proud of all the courage, Valor and self sacrifice our armed forces displayed to the world in that great conflict.

If this isn’t calling the lettle black. Spike’s time would be better served in the community in a attempt to be a positive role model. Instead he has to draw attention to himself and throw the r. card. I’m so sick of this victim mentallity he perpetuates. I never hear “is it because I’m jewish”? Until this victim crap stops nothing changes.
