I am absolutely NOT “willing to concede” (as you say in your own piece) that homosexuality is “in the genes” of a person. I think it is a mental disorder, not a natural, genetic sexual proclivity. It is a sickness, not a natural and normal expression.

It can be stopped and it can be caused, but it is not unalterable.

Why do I say it can be caused? Look at the cultural influences in Afghanistan! They have a culture of homosexual activity, but they do not treat it like an exclusive sexual proclivity. They TRAIN themselves in their CULTURE to indulge in gay sex when they deem it appropriate. It it was only a natural thing and nothing that could be affected by the individual choice, the Afghani customs would be impossible.

Homosexuality is a choice via a mental disorder. It should be treated as a sickness, not a societal good.
