Last year during the legislative session Democrat Harold Dutton was arrested in Austin for DWI, and it was similarly plastered everywhere in the media, including an unflattering mug shot. You're right the coverage is skewed, but I don't think it's partisan. It's a result of gotcha journalism combined with lazy crime reporting. I disagree with you about differing media coverage.
