The news media is dominated by people who are complete morons focusing on delivering tabloid information to that part of the population classified as imbeciles. My kids were taught in grade school with high school reinforcement to not trust any news information. Obviously, they don't buy newspapers nor watch TV news and tend to use the Internet where you can at least browse for mulitple opinions on the topic and make an intelligent decision about the veracity of an article.
