Wow--- While I agree she has the right to do this.. I just can for the life of me understand WHY you would do something like this. Even in 2 respects, Art as it relates to freedom of speech, and I guess political statements she has the right, but really, if you put your mind to it and actually think for 2 seconds, you would realize the flag is the symbol of our country, and we have fought for what it represents, hundreds of thousands of american soldiers have died for what that flag represents, and to put it on the floor and to have people walk on it, is just saying you don't care what they did for your freedoms, it's plain disrepectful. There is better ways she could have 'voiced' her opinion.

Haha
Warner, do you think that she did it with the intent of having it discussed on the Stop The ACLU forum? Do you think this is the only place it's being discussed (sorry -- commented on), or do you think it's safe to assume that someone somewhere else is talking about it too?

Wynn,

You think this was "conversation"? Hardly. Even the comments here are not "conversation" as much as just outrage. There is NO "discussion" and no useful contemplation as a result of this incident. It just ginned emotions.

Wynn--if they tried to inject facts, reason, or logic into their opinions, they'd likely implode. Ugly stuff, that. I almost prefer they prattle on this way.

But, when all is said and done, no “conversation” is sparked. Only emotions. Im not sure how you define conversation but looking at all the replies to this article I believe this did spark a fair bit of conversation. If anyone would like to read and ACCURATE article about this event check the Sunjournal articles. A note to the author: Get your facts straight before you go ranting about something you don't have accurate facts about.

We at the Grodner Effect would like all personal information we can discover about S. Crane. If you don't know what the Grodner Effect is, read this:

The Grodner Effect:
A person, politican or company, particularly a lawyer or law firm who is corrupt and arrogant tries to create a position in which he or the company, party or entity for which they work or represent can repress or harm an individual or individuals simply by having connections in the legal system, political connections or personal wealth. That person, party or entity gets blogged and the entire story goes viral on the Internet, causing the person or entity who is blogged about to lose pretty much everything, like our hero and pet, Jay Grodner.

Please post whatever you find in the comments section at

www.grodnereffect.com

Thanks!!!!

Flag should be cherished as a symbol of freedom not a walking mat that men and women have died over to protect. You can handle when you are criticized about your views. Because your views are intended to hurt people.

Here is a political eye opener for you.

Words of Hamas political adviser Ahmed Yousef, who in an interview Sunday with WABC radio and WorldNetDaily said the terrorist group supports Obama’s foreign policy vision. One of cut and run and leave Iraq to die under the rule of terrorism.

“Barack Obama’s foreign policy plans have even won him praise from Hamas leaders,”
Yousef said in the interview: “We don’t mind — actually we like Mr. Obama. And we hope he wins.

How nice the terrorists like obama. Maybe because he is friends with them. Maybe because that’s where his money is coming from. Maybe the 3000+ people who died on 9/11 means nothing to you Liberal Democrats as it always shows.

The colleges today are breeding grounds for Anti-Americans and racists. You people go over to your MoveOn.Org website where you disrespect people on an every day basis. Like i keep saying if you hate this country so much then get the hell out and stop your crying. I get pissed when they questioned a vets service as they did and put him down. You people need to grow up.

I completely agree with Tyler. It seems that Mike J is taking unwarranted shots at people he obviously knows nothing about and wouldn't take the time to know them. Simply put, he is an extremest who would see any left wing radical be monarch then see democracy or the freedom he holds "so dear" to his heart prevail. Any just for the record, i don't agree with what this student did, our vets did fight for that same flag, and our flag, should be a sacred item cherished above all in our nation, when unity is needed the most

I would just like to say that for one person arguing on behalf of the conservative party, they must be cringing at you lack of political insight. While what the student did may spark a response, i agree with richard and mike that your definition of freedom is very skewered. Whether or not it was some political statement is what should be being argued, not whether our colleges and teachers are anti-american, because i believe that despite your rantings, most of the people you talk of are, in fact, very Pro American. It is our given right, by the Government and the Supreme Court, to display our rights, ones you seem to be exercising just as much as anyone else. I believe that the project, if it showed something, was that 98 percent of Americans respect the flag, yet here you call pretty much anyone who's views aren't an extreme conservative a, and i quote "the trash that America doesn't need." I would like to see what you have to say about that. Just remember, 98 percent of the people who walked by avoided the flags. I'm sorry we can't all be conservatives, but America wasn't brought up to take cheap shots at people based on their beliefs. If i remember correctly, we founded this country so that people COULD express their beliefs, and not be persecuted as you would see them if we lived in your world.
