Just make sure you distinguish between the perpetually disturbed individuals and those that happen to have a bf/gf that’s a couple years younger.
Of course, Jeff. An 18-year-old kid with a 16-year-old girlfriend shouldn’t get strapped into Old Sparky.
I am talking about child rapists…you know the type of clients the ACLU takes on.
Right, but remember many jurisdictions have done a very poor job of making such a distinction. “Sex Offender” lists are chock-full of people who pose no serious threat to society simply because “tough on crime” always sells well in an election year.
All I’m saying is make sure your not being as simplistic as most politicians are; make sure you’re not contributing to the problem.
Jeff, you know I am more thoughtful than that.
Anyway, no jury in no jurisdiction would send an 18 year-old with a 16-, 17- or even a 15-year-old girlfriend to death row.
I can think of better punishment than death, but it would probably be unconstitutional.
I can’t think of too many things that would be “cruel and unusual” relative to raping a child.
Good idea, and something everyone should support. After all, the pro-legalized abortionists think the death penalty is fine for those conceived in rape, so why not for the rapist?
Neil, you rule.
It’s almost a shame that the worst punishment for raping children is death.
