" -The ideas and concepts are not all gone. There is a neo-Pagan/Wiccan/Witch resurgence today. Acts such as the Salem Witch trials HAVE left an indelible mark on these people, as well as those they interact with. - A woman overseas was just sentenced to death for being a witch, because she allegedly looked at a man and made him impotent. - I live in a state that is governed by an extremely ridiculous and outdated system of laws, with crazy ones like "If you are dead and you want to buy property or a mule, you must show identification first." It is possible that this discovery of old lineage related to witch-burning may actually have a legal affect on her, her property, etc. - She may, in fact, be Wiccan. In that case, she is probably trying to clear her ancestor's name not only for herself, but to shed more light on the shameful events of that time...yes, even 1692. - You seemed rather outraged and personally thrown by this story. It's interesting that you wrote this article about an issue that seems really personal to you (since you felt the need to debase her so bombastically). If you're so unhappy with her wasting everyone's time, why did you feel the need to recapitulate the story to your readers?
