There's no Constitutional protection against a search that's allowed by the property owner. There's no Constitutional protection against the police asking to search a home. Now, the people who consent to such a search are stupid. And it's good to see that so many people are vehemently opposed to this. But it's not a Constitutional issue. What the Boston PD is doing is outrageous, but it’s not a violation of the Constitution.
