Obama: Grandmother Is a “Typical White Person”

Obama typical white person

“The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity. But she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn’t know. . .there’s a reaction in her that doesn’t go away and it comes out in the wrong way.”

This is the very definition of sterotyping and racism. So, is this the reaction of the “typical white person”? I think this reveals the truley harbored racist feelings of Obama towards whites.

As Stuck On Stupid says: He kicks his grandmother after throwing her under the bus.

Webloggin:

It does do something however. It teaches me something about what Barack Obama thinks of me. His beliefs about the inherent nature of racially stunted white grandmothers exposes an inner belief that is racist in itself. The man that wishes the world judge him on anything but race is the same man that is judging me, my family and my grandmother on that very thing.

John Hinderaker:

Think about it: can you imagine any Presidential candidate, in any context, describing anyone as a “typical black person?” Or a “typical Asian person?” Worse, what Obama said was that the “typical white person” views others of different races with fear and suspicion. Obama appears to be digging himself in deeper and deeper.

Rhymes With Right:

And this from a guy who demanded that Imus be fired for his “nappy-headed ho” comment. This comment therefore seems like an offense sufficient enough to require that he withdraw from the presidential race — except, of course, that as a black man no liberal Democrat would have the guts to call him on his racism and hold him to the same standards a white candidate would be held to. Proof again that Geraldine Ferraro got it exactly right, and that Barack Obama is nothing but an affirmative action candidate who is held to a lower standard than a similarly situated white candidate would be.

The Weekly Standard:

Grandma was a “typical white person.” Which is to say she was a bigot, but generally decent–as apparently all white people are. The point here isn’t that Obama is relying on stereotypes to make his point, though he is, but rather that this would be completely unacceptable rhetoric were it to come from a white candidate. One just can’t say that an entire race has a “type.”

G.F. adds:

So, “she is a typical white person.” In Obama’s ridiculous speech, he set his “pastor” and his poor grandma up as morally equivalent. The implication is that granny’s offhand comment (whether she really made it or it was just a theatrical white lie) is the same thing as decades of rabid, publicly expressed race hatred by his pastor. With that setup, I’ll provide a syllogistic representation of what Obama MUST mean:

Obama’s granny is as racist as Jeremiah Wright
Obama’s granny is a typical white person
Therefore: The “typical white person” is as much of a racist as Jeremiah Wright

Transcending race.

He is showing himself very clearly for what he is. A racist that has been hiding that side of him and this latest controversy has forced comments out of him that he didn’t want revealed.

Your missing the point…. It’s because white people are racist that he thinks it’s ok to think that all white people are racist! /sarc

Obama can demonstrate he is no racist, and is fighting for equal treatment of all races, by fighting to abolish the racism of affirmative action he referred to in this week’s speech.
We’ll see if he is for real.

“Earlier in the week it appeared that Obama had a free pass to make slurs. There was no media outcry when Obama, wearing a green velvet suit at a Saint Patrick’s Day event, inserted an apostrophe in his name and declared “O’bama, not your typical Irish Mick”.”

I just don’t get how anyone can think that Barrie Hussein UbBama can UNITE AMerikkaUSA when he sees himself as having been brought up by a “typical white person” that “makes him cringe”. Why is he not cringing at his “now I’m finally proud of Amerikka” wife Michelle who didn’t see the black (!) heros of 9/11 in MYC? Why is he not cringing at Rev Goddamm AmerikkkaUSA for 20 years of race baiting? Why is he not cringing at the money that Weather Underground terrorists Bernadette Bomber Dohrn and her hubbie Bomber Bill Ayers gave to him for his senate campaign?

He reminds me of George Wallace. At least George apologized for his ignorance. It shows Obama has mental problems to attack the ones who raised him. Sounds like he has personal issues with who he is or who he wants to be. I work with kids everyday who are struggling with the same problems. He needs to grow up!!!
