Iranian hardliners support torture too. Are American conservatives really interested in giving up principle and following their lead? And the lead of the Soviets, and the North Vietnamese, and the Chinese? Someone please tell me how copying the tactics of fascist and communist states is "conservative." The Bill of Rights is what needs to be conserved from such radical innovations. And, might I add, immoral. Since when is supporting torture a conservative position?
