ABC goes out, concocts an environment that places passers by in an uncomfortable and stressful situation and then advertise it as if they were doing some kind of service for society. For the episode about the Muslim woman that is harassed in the convenience store, they went all the way to Texas, presumably because they figured to have a target rich environment of shirtless red-necks that would validate their world view. The painful truth is that they could have duplicated the story by setting up anywhere in NYC or Jersey or upstate NY. If I were one of the people that was featured on the program, even if I were one of the people that performed admirably, I would have been furious to find out that the entire encounter was manufactured.
