Stopping Obama
Like most bloggers here I was a Fredhead. And also very critical of McCain. But I am betting that Obama will get the Donk nomination and that he could be very hard to beat. He is clearly trying to imitate the Gipper’s feelgood strategy and that was a big winner. Obama however shows no capacity for real thought. He just accepts standard Leftist boilerplate tout court. He is an empty vessel making a lot of sounds. Having such a man as President would be like having a boat sailing along with nobody at the tiller. So we MUST get behind McCain. Voting almost always is about choosing the least bad alternative anyway.
Let’s face it: With his “compassionate conservatism” (being compassionate with other people’s money) GWB was always pretty centrist too. But he was still a big improvement on the Defeatocrats.
UPDATE: Jack Wheeler has put up a heavy defence of his earlier doubts about McCain so the GOP may be toast this time around anyway.

I agree that the GOP should swallow hard and get behind McCain in the general election. But, truth be told, I like Obama a thousand-times more than Hillary. I don’t want her anywhere near the White House ever again.
