The hope is that we will get a good candidate in 2012. That will not happen if McCain becomes President. I do not trust McCain, and Clinton has been known to vote pro-life so I don't see the difference between the two.

For example both support funding stem cell research which is a likely bill that will come before our next President.

In other words Bolton needs a better argument to sway me.

McCain? Choose real conservatives (or even good fakes like Romney) or even just pols with balls to fill out his ticket and his cabinet?

Not gonna happen. He's too prickly and petty to want anyone who might actually disagree with him, and not smart enough to know how wrong he is to be so petty.

"For some reason, I doubt Mccain will make those kinds of picks though."

I guess we'll see. However, if McCain wins, he might surprise many of us and deliberately pick a fight with Congress to a) size it up, b) put it on notice that he's not going to grease up and roll over in the name of "bipartisanship," and build up "stret cred" with conservatives.

Damn, I'd love to see McCain announce Bolton as his nominee for SecDef. The very thought of seeing Ted Kennedy's head swell up three sizes afterwards makes me all warm and fuzzy.
