The Case Against Casting a Republican Vote in November

I’m not saying this to be an advocate of voting Dem, but there is a possibility of some merit in not voting for a Republican come November.

At this point it is beginning to look grim for those of us who consider ourselves Conservative first and Republican second. We first wanted Fred Thompson because he was the only Conservative in the race. Then he dropped out.

Then we threw our support around Mitt Romney because he represented more of our values than the other choices. But it is now being speculated by people such as Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard that Mitt could possibly drop as well. I’d like for him to stay in but ultimately the choice is his to make with his family.

Should Mitt decide to abandon his bid we will be faced with a pseudo libtard former pastor trying to masquerade as a Republican. An individual who I wouldn’t support as long as I lived based on his past tax policy, his ignorance to foreign policy, and his quest to establish a nanny state. He is a graduate of the Arkansas College of Clintonian Politics and is a master of telling audiences what they want to hear.

According to The Club for Growth The Huckster’s tax history is as follows:

By the end of his ten-year tenure, Governor Huckabee was responsible for a 37% higher sales tax in Arkansas, 16% higher motor fuel taxes, and 103% higher cigarette taxes according to Americans for Tax Reform (01/07/07), garnering a lifetime grade of D from the free-market Cato Institute. While he is on record supporting making the Bush tax cuts permanent, he joined Democrats in criticizing the Republican Party for tilting its tax policies “toward the people at the top end of the economic scale” (Washington Examiner 09/13/06), even though objective evidence demonstrates that the Bush tax cuts have actually shifted the tax burden to higher income taxpayers.

Finally, Governor Huckabee opposed further tax cuts at a 2005 gathering of Iowa conservatives (AP 09/17/05). On January 28, 2007, Governor Huckabee refused to pledge not to raise taxes if elected President…

He’s got those who worship Neal Boorz snowed into believing that he supports The Fair Tax but his past doesn’t represent that. Further, he has a history of spending like a drunken sailor. Didn’t 2006 teach Republicans anything?

According to The Club for Growth The Huckster’s spending record:

Under Governor Huckabee’s watch, state spending increased a whopping 65.3% from 1996 to 2004, three times the rate of inflation (Americans for Tax Reform 01/07/07). The number of state government workers rose 20% during his tenure (Arkansas Leader 04/15/06), and the state’s general obligation debt shot up by almost $1 billion, according to Americans for Tax Reform. The massive increase in government spending is due in part to the number of new programs and expansion of already existing programs initiated by Governor Huckabee, including ARKids First, a multimillion-dollar government program to provide health coverage for thousands of Arkansas’ children (Arkansas News Bureau 04/13/06).

These large increases in government borrowing and spending significantly impede economic growth.

The implementation of The Fair Tax is dependent upon controlling spending which Mr. Huckster has a history of being unable to do.

Listen folks, I like The Fair Tax too. I believe it could return the United States to being a major manufacturing force in the world again. But there is a truth that we all need to face. The Washington establishment will never relinquish control of the tax system we currently live under. Especially if someone is elected President or Vice President who claims to be for The Fair Tax when in reality he is only for it until he gets your vote.

The Huckster is about as much a Conservative as Michael Moore.

So who is the only other choice should Romney bow out? Juan MexiCain. The author of McCain-Feingold which quelled political free speech. The author of McCain-Liberman which would raise taxes on gasoline 50 cents per gallon in a pie in the sky quest to placate the morons who believe in the theory of anthropological global warming. With gas prices at $3.00 per gallon already in most of the country and higher is some parts, another 50 cent tax is all this economy needs to keep us out of recession [sarcasm mine].

MexiCain is also the author of McCain-Kennedy which would have been the largest affront to US sovereignty since the birth of this nation. It was an amnesty plan which would have given legitimacy to criminals who have shown that they have no respect for current US laws. It is a crime to enter this country illegally. Anyone who claims that these people are not criminals are fooling themselves and attempting to fool you. Re-entry after being deported is a felony. But Mr. MexiCain believes that they should be allowed to stay as long as they pay a token fine and back taxes. What about all those waiting in their home countries to be granted entry visas? What about those who have come here legally to work and are taking the steps to become US citizens? What about the expense they are going through to do things legally? Granting anything resembling amnesty to those who illegally enter our nation is an insult to these people who have chosen to follow our laws. These are the people we want to come here. Not a bunch of fence hoppers.

If Juan MexiCain becomes the GOP Nominee for President of the United States, there is no amount of nose holding that would be sufficient enough for me to touch the screen in favor of this traitor. I call him that not because of rumors about his service in Vietnam, I say that because of his abandonment of his Party.

So where are we if these are our choices? We can attempt to hold our nose (something that I don’t think will happen in my case) and we can vote for these RINOs. OR, we can make a statement that we are not supporting these candidates. We can stay home or we can vote for a Dem.

Yes I said vote for a Dem and here’s why.

I believe that if Huckster, MexiCain, Clinton, or Obama are elected, the economic difficulties that we are beginning to see on the horizon will hit this country like they did during the Carter Infestation. With double digit interest rates, double digit inflation, and double digit unemployment this country would be in a bad way and I for one don’t want the blame to fall on a Republican.

I believe that if Huckster, Clinton, or Obama get elected, there will be another attack on this nation by Islamo-fascists.

I believe that if Huckster, MexiCain, Clinton, or Obama get elected the influx of illegal aliens will overwhelm the social services of this nation further increasing our national debt and lead to reductions in our military strength.

These things will happen if one of these 4 individuals are elected President of the United States and in 2012 there will be a radical change like the Reagan Revolution. I’d like it if it were my Party.

If our next President is not a Conservative, they will be doomed to a 4 year term that will be plagued in the manner of Jimmy Carter. I say let the Dems deal with it.

Then I will prepare for the bad times to come.

You stated that it would be 4 bad years rivaling Carter. If itâ€™s Hillary it will be far worse then Carter. In fact, I see a stock market crash followed by a full blown depression coming that will make what happen in â€˜29 look like a minor blip.

If Hillary Clinton is president, you can bet your bottom dollar she will nationalize everything she can, and more then likely cancel the midterm elections â€œDue to the emergency.â€

Obama is no better although I donâ€™t think he is so power mad as to try and make himself president for life.
