"We will see from this point on candidates who are far more socialist than conservative with their base ideological philosophy. Sure they will pretend at being conservative, but they will not be and their records will prove it."

kerwin seems to underscore your point about the need for education in this country. In case it isn't obvious, the "republicans" he speaks of are the very same that you denounce as being socialist. It is for this very reason we need to educate our kids and help them to understand the differences between being real conservatives and left-leaning, socialist republicans.

Please! Real conservatives as you like to call them have done some real foolish things. First and foremost as they have played class warfare and lost by giving a tax break to the rich and not an even one across the board. When many middle class workers hear they pay more taxes than a rich man then they feel oppressed and the Republicans are responsible. The free trade ideas have resulted in American industry and other jobs being exported overseas and those Americans who lost jobs as well as their friend and family have only real Republicans to blame for this act of oppression. Then there is the Republicans saying they support security for America while leaving our borders and ports unsecured in the name of greater profit. I am sure I can point out other things the Republican establishment has failed to appease the middle class on and that leaves fewer citizens to vote for them even among the Republican base.

AMen! I pulled my kids out of government school and put them in a Christian Co-op/homeschool. I found out just how much they hadn't been taught. I was appalled. As long as I have breath in my body my kids will never never never set foot inside the insipid indoctrination camps known as 'public school' again.

Both my sons have had their eyes on the presidency for about 5 years now. Hang on America! Two conservative, constructionist/federalist candidates are in 6th and 4th grade but they're on their way!

My blog has been designated a Blogger for Thompson but it's going back to what I was known for before hand which is what was called finger on the heartbeat of the blogosphere. I'm going to start hammering the 'public'education system, calling it for what it is and hopefully help people who think they can't possibly homeschool their children realize that yes they can.

That is part of the problem. They don't know where to start. They think they have to stay on a certain schedule or whatnot.

I would dearly love to see more bloggers take on the NEA and the so called education system. Thank you so much for your post. It's about time someone started saying what needs to be said.

It may not be the end for the conservative causes! With the Dems having both Houses of Congress and maybe winning the White House in November, it will not be long before people start to regret the choices that they have made. They will feel it with the prices of goods, the prices of heat and lights, and the fact that they take home less money each week. It should be enough for people to start remember what conservatives once sttod for.
