Fred should stay in the race as long as he likes. The convention may well be brokered and he should arrive at that table with as many chips as possible. If he gets the VP nod, great.

I think the trunk's chances are bleak at the moment, regardless of the nominee. As soon as the election is over, Fred should hit the chicken dinner circuit preaching the message every chance he gets. Because in '12 the Jimmy Carter of the 21st century will easily defeated by a distinct conservative message.

The last thing Ron Paul wants to do is run our lives. If Mr. Goldstein knew anything about the man, I could excuse him, but continuing to add to a media slur just because it's fun I can't excuse.

But, so what. I expect Paul to continue to gain in popularity as he has slowly but surely done in spite of the anti-Paul cheerleaders. If I'm wrong, so what. Odds are we'll get a globalist CFR stooge regardless of what I think, since the odds are 8 to 1. It doesn't change the way I'll vote. I encourage everyone else to do the same, just hope they actually think and don't swallow the media popularity pill blindly. I've held my nose and voted for the last two presidential elections, and I'm just hoping I won't have to do it again.

Mr. Moore: Say what you will about Jeff Goldstein, you would be quite mistaken to say that he follows along with anything "the media" decides.

Oh, and I suspect Mr. Goldstein would be first in line to tell you it's not slander but libel.

Or it would be except for the fact he's dead on target. Again.

Fred had two options now to aid his ally McCaine by pulling out of the race and backing him publically thus encouraging his supporters to support McCaine or to continue attacking Huckabee and thus decrease the laters support. I am interested to see which way he decides. Of course he can take a third unexpected corse.

Jeff Goldstein has a great plan for loosing the general election. Don't vote and let the Democrats win who are even more opposed to his ideas than those he does not want to vote for. I hope he changes his mind but I do understand how demoralizing it is for your canidate to not meet your expectations.

We haven't had an election this depresssing since Franklin Delano Roosevelt. And he lasted for FOUR (count them) FOUR TERMS. The seeds of our destruction were planted during his incumbencies -- the incipient socialism, the loss of personal responsibility, etc. And I fear Hillary will be worse.

Jay, I apologize for attributing that quote to you. I was wrong.
As for it being a poke for fun, there is nothing funny about slander, and that little bit of so-called humor approaches it. The media has tried to bury this good candidate from the beginning, and bloggers have merrily went along trying to make it a pecking party, piling on at every opportunity with virtually no substance to back up their ridicule. I can laugh at lots of things, but this is kind of like cutting off a mans legs and then making amputee jokes. Not funny.

James, if you read carefully the words about Ron Paul were not mine, but Jeff Goldsteins. I quoted them. If you understand his sense of humor, you will know that it was not so much a literal insult, as a poke for fun. Regardless, that line is the least important part of the entire quote.
