Gribbit’s Word Round Up – It’s a Busy Day at GW
Posted on January 10, 2008
Instead of posting multiple cross-posts for my multiple posts today, I thought one post with teasers to each are in order.
Another Dem Bites the Dust (in full)
New Mexico Governor and former Ambassador Bill Richardson (no relation) is bowing out of the quest for the Democrat Nomination for President of the United States.
According to an AP report appearing on MyWay News, Gov. Richardson ended his campaign after finishing 4th in both New Hampshire and Iowa. No one with more than one functioning brain cell gave the Richardson campaign a prayer of gaining the nomination. The shame of the matter is that Richardson was the most experienced Democrat running. Hillary likes to think that she gained experience watching her philandering hubby be President, but Gov. Richardson did. Under Clinton he served as US Ambassador to the UN then later the Secretary of Energy on top of his time in the House. He is currently in his second term as the Governor of New Mexico which he cannot run for again. He will be term limited out in 2010.
So goodbye Governor, too bad you couldn’t have given Hillary, Barack, and Johnny Boy a better run.
Rudy Hit Single Digits; Hillary and Obama in a Cat Fight
In the Rasmussen Reports latest Daily Presidential Tacking Poll (dated 1/9/08), former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani hit single digits for the first time since announcing. Rudy is currently polling at 9% which is last among the top 5 in the race. Currently The Huckster is leading with 22% followed by Mitt Romney and John McCain sharing 2nd place with 19%. My man Fred Thompson is holding on with 12% in the latest Tracking Poll. MORE
Obama In Trouble… And It’s Not From Hillary
Illinois Senator and Democrat Presidential Candidate for his Party’s Nomination Barack Obama has finally made what could turn out to be a major boo-boo. It seems that his campaign slogan “Change Rocks” is a registered trademark. That’s right, he may be guilty of trademark infringement for using the term. MORE
BlogBurst for Fred South Carolina
Bloggers across this nation put together an effort to give the Thompson campaign a shot in the arm in order to broadcast his ad “Substance” across Iowa just a few short weeks ago. Bloggers helped the campaign raise the needed funds to get Fred the exposure he needed to take a much needed 3rd place in the Hawkeye State.
The goal has always been South Carolina. It will be the Palmetto State which would represent the best chance for a push into Super Tuesday on February 5th. A victory in South Carolina could propel Fred to the top of the Republican polls and have a true impact on the 12 Super Tuesday States. MORE
Rudy’s Tax Plan, Sounds an Awful Lot Like Fred’s
Rudy Giuliani has come out with his tax plan in an effort to glamor up his Conservative credentials. Problem is, I’ve heard the plan or something resembling it before. Then I got to thinking, where?
It is Fred Thompson’s plan on a diet.
Rudy’s plan sounds great on paper, the problem is that it took someone else to come out with it first. Let’s take a look. MORE

Hey Gribbit,
How is it that I leave one comment on Gribbit’s Word that contradicts you and now I find myself banned? I didn’t even use offensive language. Are you afraid to deal with someone who differs in opinion? Don’t have the mental capacity to have a debate? Afraid it might come to low blows and I’d accuse you of cradle robbing? 21 huh? Amazing what you can find on the net. Later [edited].
