Your man Alberto Gonzales lost his job in part because the brightest lawyers in the GOP could not find ANY significant evidence of voter fraud in 2004 or 2006.

Gonzales fired the ones who refused to manufacture evidence, but even the ones who were willing to play ball eventually had to concede the no significant voter fraud occurred.

I don’t envy the GOP for having to play dirty to win. Best of luck.

Of course “Americans have the right to vote.” No one is trying to take that away. However, what the Dems are doing is continuing its historic affinity for voter fraud.

How is it “prohibitive” to require one to prove his or her identity before carrying out our most important duty as citizens? I guess you would prefer legitimate votes be cancelled out by frauds who vote two, three, four times and by others, like the deceased, whom the Democrats seem to get out to the polls in nearly every election.

For Democrats, it’s win at all costs by any means, even if the cost is our system of government and the mean are election fraud and lies.

Prohibitive photo ID laws are designed to deny certain Americans their right to vote.

The voting machines have all been declared invalid and need to be recertified and there’s a lot of doubt as to whether that can be done in time.

I can’t think of anything more fraud-prone than a mail-in ballot. And it certainly gets around any voter ID laws, doesn’t it?

However, we are now talking about individuals and requiring those individuals to prove who they are before they vote. You need ID to buy cigarettes, booze and board a plane. How is it that we can say ID is not needed to protect one of our most basic liberties?

Requiring an ID does not disadvantage anyone. I imagine that these same so called disadvantaged poor people (mostly Democrat is what one writer called them) have no trouble producing ID to obtain government services or cash a government check…

If you seriously think that people shouldn’t have to prove who they are in order to vote, you do not believe in the legitimate democratic process. Since you are so clueless and so willing to give up your vote, just go ahead and stay home.

This is one tool used by BushCo to win in 2004–this, caging lists, and flawed (and not enough) voting machines going to poorer counties. I say the ACLU is right on this one. It’s not a “no-duh”.
