For Republicans, it's win at all costs by any means, and if we have to disenfranchise minority voters to do that, well that's business as usual for the GOP.

Your man Alberto Gonzales lost his job in part because the brightest lawyers in the GOP could not find ANY significant evidence of voter fraud in 2004 or 2006.

Gonzales fired the ones who refused to manufacture evidence, but even the ones who were willing to play ball eventually had to concede the no significant voter fraud occurred.

I don't envy the GOP for having to play dirty to win. Best of luck.

Jerimee, your email is not surprising at all being that it comes from the following domain:

"mail.ncdemocraticparty.org"

Of course "Americans have the right to vote." No one is trying to take that away. However, what the Dems are doing is continuing its historic affinity for voter fraud.

How is it "prohibitive" to require one to prove his or her identity before carrying out our most important duty as citizens? I guess you would prefer legitimate votes be cancelled out by frauds who vote two, three, four times and by others, like the deceased, whom the Democrats seem to get out to the polls in nearly every election.

For Democrats, it's win at all costs by any means, even if the cost is our system of government and the mean are election fraud and lies.

Americans have a right to vote, and no Republican maneuver should come between Americans and their right to vote.

Prohibitive photo ID laws are designed to deny certain Americans their right to vote.

Speaking of the Dems and voter fraud, I find it really interesting that the Dems are the ones supporting all mail-in ballots for the 2008 election in Colorado.

The voting machines have all been declared invalid and need to be recertified and there's a lot of doubt as to whether that can be done in time.

I can't think of anything more fraud-prone than a mail-in ballot. And it certainly gets around any voter ID laws, doesn't it?

It seems to me that both parties have cheated in the past and Washington state is a prime example of how votes suddenly appear when needed.

However, we are now talking about individuals and requiring those individuals to prove who they are before they vote. You need ID to buy cigarettes, booze and board a plane. How is it that we can say ID is not needed to protect one of our most basic liberties?

Requiring an ID does not disadvantage anyone. I imagine that these same so called disadvantaged poor people (mostly Democrat is what one writer called them) have no trouble producing ID to obtain government services or cash a government check...

WakeUp--

What you wrote is satire, right?

"Unfair advantage?"

So you are saying that the only way the Democrats can win is if there is maximum voter fraud? Interesting.

If you seriously think that people shouldn't have to prove who they are in order to vote, you do not believe in the legitimate democratic process. Since you are so clueless and so willing to give up your vote, just go ahead and stay home.

The voter ID requirements are only meant to help the Republicans keep an unfair advantage in the elections. Voter fraud is not a legitimate issue, but there are many people who will not vote if they need a specific ID to do so--people who should have the right to vote. Poorer people, struggling people, mostly Democrats.

This is one tool used by BushCo to win in 2004--this, caging lists, and flawed (and not enough) voting machines going to poorer counties. I say the ACLU is right on this one. It's not a "no-duh".

Don't believe me, but don't read propaganda and think its fact, either, do some objective research on the web and find out the truth for yourselves!!!!
