(Video) Rush Limbaugh: If You Are Looking For a True Conservative, Why Not Fred Thompson?

Posted on January 7, 2008

Rush still won’t come out and officially endorse anyone, but it’s obvious for folks that can read between the lines. He has alluded to it before, and we all know he doesn’t like Huckabee or McCain. He also clued in folks today when he mentioned that if McCain was a true conservative he wouldn’t be banking on NH, he would be in South Carolina. Who is the candidate doing that? Anyway, here is what Rush said today:

My question for you evangelicals is this. If you’re looking for a real conservative, why are you supporting Huckabee? He’s completely discredited himself. What about Fred Thompson? If you’re looking for a real conservative. Huckabee is constantly engaging in class warfare against the producers. This laid-off line, it’s an attack on Romney, but it’s an attack on producers. It’s an attack on employers. It’s pure populism. He does oppose school choice! You don’t get the NEA endorsement in New Hampshire by supporting school choice.

Fred doesn’t seem to realize he has to work harder than the more liberal GOP folk. The MSM is going to prop him up like they do the Huckster, McCain and Romney. It may be too late for him but let’s hope not.

I’m reluctant to throw my total support toward Thompson and yet I think he may be the only true conservative in the bunch, discounting Hunter who I believe has as much chance of getting the nomination as a snow ball in hell; a good reason why the drive by media wouldn’t want the sheeple to get behind him. The left knows they are vulnerable and would rather run against a flim flam, similar to their front runners, than to run against a solid conservative.

PS: I like the added feature of being able to edit, even after having posted a comment. That is a nice feature; you get ONE ATTA BOY for that.

As I pointed out earlier Fred Thomson obviously not a true conservative. He supports free trade which makes him a traitor in my book as anyone who will sell out the U.S. for a dollar is a traitor. But that is the quality of canidates we have today and Mr. Thompson is most likely better than Romney, McCaine, or Giuliani.
