As for the article, I wouldn’t doubt that Aleya was referring to “The Chronicles of Narnia”; I can’t imagine a seven year old would read “Mere Christianity.” You couldn’t say she was reading at too much higher a level. And who would tell a youngster their favorite author was “so-and-so you have never heard of”? I don’t have one favorite author; I have many. I am sure the same is true for Huckabee. (I like Lewis as well but find his works a little too deep for me at times.)

Unfortunately, Bush did put him on the 8th Circuit. But I’m sure part of the reason was a recommendation from Huck.

I’m not saying that one bad appointment makes Huck a poor judge of judges, but with everything else beginning to mount…

The same Mike Huckabee who said that Lawrence v. Texas was properly decided is the guy to trust with judicial appointments?

Regarding your “Huck is our only hope” delusion, you need to get over that. I’d like to investigate Huck’s appointment record in AR. As crony-loving as he is, I’m sure we’ve got some stinkers to discuss.

I don’t trust McCain on the issue, so there we agree.

However, you need to provide evidence for your charges against Romney and Giuliani. If I am right, in MA the governor doesn’t have much say over judges as he picks from a list chosen by a committee. Not sure how the judicial appt. system works in NY, but I am willing to bet your numbers were invented somewhere.

Please point me to your sources and I will gladly reconsider my position.

Those running the websites are doing a disservice if they Mitt Romney, who appointed homosexual activist lawyers to courts in Massachusetts will. Or if they think Rudy Giuliani, who appointed liberal judges by an 8-1 ratio in NY will. Or that John McCain, who was part of the gang of 14 deal blocking conservative judges would.

These are the kind of comments I’d expect at the ACLU’s website.
