Like you I am sticking with Fred Thompson. I think the title
"consistent conservative" is used properly in describing Fred. It seems to me that
Romney has come to some of his positions much later on, leaving me wondering just how
committed he is to those positions. After all, what goes on in the mind of a religous
person who for years supported abortion, and only recently decided to opposes it?
What other peculiar residue is left in that head? I am very concerned about Huckabee
for a number of reasons and evangelical Christians (I am one) need to recognize
that it was our ranks that made Jimmy Carter possible. I fear that Huckabee may
be the same thing only different.

I agree, National Review's endorsement of Romney did nothing for me either. But it is much harder to dismiss Judge Bork who I much respect and certainly not someone that jumps on bandwagons.
