I am so sick of people saying "Well, I like Duncan Hunter, but he won't get elected". Well, he quite possibly could if you people will stop saying that and get behind the guy. I used to be like that. I was going to vote for Fred because I figured he would be more electable. Don't get me wrong, I like Fred and would support him if Hunter drops out. I decided I need to go with my gut and it's telling me Duncan is the one.

Keep in mind my friend, I was a "Fred Head" before Fred was a candidate. Chalk this one up to "I told you so". :D

By the way, I don't have a link to video or transcript yet, but I just watched Fred on Charlie Rose and he was fantastic. I had a lot of questions about where he stands on education and the role of the federal government and he answered them very thoroughly. If you have a chance to watch the whole thing, I highly recommend it.

Fred needs to sit down and actually read both the Fourteenth Amendment and Roe v. Wade as his opinion about the two seems rather ignorant. His idea that abortion is a state issue contradicts the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment which is a point Roe v. Wade actually mentions. He might unlike too many candidates be correct in interpretating the commerce clause but I have no idea what his interpretation is.

Well, John - root for your guy. I'm with Mitt, but I have the advantage of having worked with him (not FOR him, but I worked in the Legislature while he was Governor) and I know how his ideas and record have been distorted (really - the Log Cabing Republicans are running attack ads on him in IA and NH - stop and think about that - how liberal can he be?).

If any of you hae any questions about what he's like, etc., shoot me an email.

And when he wins the nomination, I hope you'll support him - he really is a good and intelligent man.

The only issue where Fred is inconsistent is taxation. The only proposed remedy to the mess that is federal taxation that is in line with the Founders' views on taxation is The FairTax, and Fred, though he is the strongest candidate in voicing his committment to the Founders' Constitution, has yet to open his eyes and wholeheartedly embrace the FairTax solution.

Apart from that, he's aces with me.

Oh, and I'd like him to consider my proposal to pay citizens a bounty for turning in illegals and their employers. :-) (But that's just my desire to retire a wealthy man talking. *heh*)

Fred is the only guy I am excited about. He is right on the issues and he is the only adult in the race. Huckabee is fooling a lot of people right now and that scares me.
