Welcome to the Top Tier Huckabee

Posted on December 3, 2007

Its been impressive watching him “surge” from nowhere to rock star. Now that he is at the top…he will feel the heat of the spotlight. Now that he is playing with the big boys it is even more important to look at where he stands on issues.

Here is a little food for thought from Rush Limbaugh

Here’s another thing to consider, folks, about the Drive-Bys and their attempts to influence the perception of Republican primary votes in Iowa and New Hampshire. They need a George W. Bush on the ballot. So much of Democrat turnout will hinge on hatred for George W. Bush. The only problem is that Bush isn’t on the ballot. They have to find somebody, therefore, who can be portrayed as Bush, and Rudy certainly can’t be portrayed as George W. Bush. Can Mitt Romney be portrayed as Bush? No. Can Fred Thompson be portrayed as Bush? No. And here’s why. One of the things about Bush that they despise is that he is public about his faith in God-d and his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his savior, and that just tears them a new one. You do not understand how that scares the pants off of these people. It just does. That’s as big a reason they hate Bush as any policy thing that he’s gotten into. Rahm Emanuel, a big-time Clinton, Inc., guy from the White House days, now congressman from Illinois, said that Bush will be on the ballot. They’re going to run against him anyway. What better way to have Bush on the ballot than to nominate a candidate that they can say is George Bush all over again? Particularly in the way that scares the left so much, and, if they can portray Huckabee as in any way pro-Iraq, pro-war on terror, this is one of the reasons he’s exciting to them. They need a Bush on the ballot. They’ve invested too much in running against George W. Bush when he’s not running.

If the Republican Party runs from its faith in God Almighty, I’m running from the Republican Party…that’s just, by God, all there is to it!

Arkansans, though heavily Democrat, would choose Huckabee in a landslide over Hillary. He’s WaaaAAAY more popular than the mousey-haired, woman with glasses who brought with her to Arkansas an uppity Yankee attitude.

The Republican Party will cease to exist if it runs from God.

I’ll choose Huckabee in a lanslide over Hillary as well. But right now I’m not faced with that choice. I’m faced with the choice between Republicans.

I will not vote for Mike Huckabee if he wins the nomination. I will not sell out my conservative principles or my faith just to keep a Democrat out of the White House.

I have to wake up everyday and like what I see when I get up and look in the mirror.
