Schieffer: We Need To Be Hearing About More Troops Dying in Iraq

Posted on December 3, 2007

Upset that immigration has been such an important issue focused on in the Republican debates, Schieffer shows his frustration. Instead he downplays current success in Iraq and expresses how he thinks we need to hear more about Americans dying in Iraq. Apparantly we haven’t heard enough of that.

Brent Baker has good analysis at Newsbusters.

Damn, Jay, did you lose a bet and get forced to watch Bob? That is like torture to me, but good thing that he’s moderate.

Schieffer signs off that (illegal) immigration is important but “We need to be hearing about more troops dying in Iraq”.

It would seem that a story featuring both illegals and Americans dying would be tailor made for Schieffer and CBS. Perhaps a series of stories highlighting illegal aliens currently killing more American every year than US combat deaths worldwide.

But then, that wouldn’t fit in the CBS liberal bias, would it.
