Redskins Sean Taylor Dead at 24

From a news alert in yahoo:

MIAMI (AP) Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor has died, says family friend Richard Sharpstein.

Taylor was attacked by one or more intruders in his home yesterday and shot. He underwent a 7 hour surgery and had been listed in critical, but now word has come down that he has died. This is a sad day for football. I am not a Redskins fan, but Sean was a pretty good player, which made him fun to watch. Prayers go out to his family and loved ones from this author, and I am sure the entire website.
