Boston Wants to Ban Spanking
Will the nanny statism never stop? A nurse in Arlington Mass. asked State Rep. Jay Kaufman to file the spanking ban petition in an attempt to get Mass. to be the first state in the country to ban corporal punishment.
I can only ask, what the hell is wrong with these people? There was a time when an unruly child got paddled when they misbehaved. Over the last couple of decades that has been set aside in favor of “time outs” and other such “punishments” that don’t really work. What do we have to show for it? Unruly children terrorizing teachers across the land, falling test scores and disrespectful children.
The ever encroaching nanny state is working slowly but surely on taking away all parental rights. You don’t have the right to know when your children leave school grounds to get “medical care” (i.e. birth control or an abortion), which is going to get kids, once they realize the benefits of this law, to be able to ditch classes, legally, simply by stating that they are going to the doctors office. Now they want to take away the parents right to discipline their children as they see fit. Now I am not advocating abuse here, but sometimes a kid just needs a good whack on the bottom to set them back in line. Never mind that we are creating a generation of super wimps, who will be unable to deal with the harsh realities of the real world when they graduate.
We see that happening with kids that expect to be hired just because they applied for a job,
In short Boston is wrong on this issue. All they are going to do create even more unruly children who will grow ever bolder and only be reigned in once they snap and get hauled in by cops with tasers.
Somebody needs to spank that nurse.

You forgot to mention that some should also spank Jay Kaufman as well.
All humans need disipline. The disrespect of children could leed some to prison for them challenging us.
I dont have any children that are not grown, but everyone of them have been spanked,
yes all 6 of them. I have even spanked a grand child for not behaving. I have only
one word for the ACLU and any other idiot who wants children to grow up, committing
crimes because they were not taught better. GO to H_ _ L.
This is absurd. A good slap on the behind when needed gets the child’s attention, and they know you are serious. How can one woman get the attention of our Senators when there is so many serious problems in Massachusetts.
Marie, maybe she spanked one of them to get them to do what she wanted.
Boston Massachusetts is the birthplace of American Individual Anarchism otherwise known as Boston Anarchism. I have no idea how they went from anarchism to totalitarianism but they certainly seemed to have done it. Maybe they see parental authority as a government they need to abolish.
Ok, so you are against this, BUT in favor of Firemen coming into my home.
Please clarify.
Are you kidding me?? Let’s just let all the kids run wild with no limits and no discipline. We wonder why kids go nuts and school shootings happen; perhaps a little discipline would go a long way.
So, I guess the ACLU wants people to go to birthing centers to give birth to children, then give them up to the state to raise them in giant compounds? Can I yell at the kids from time to time or is that going to be banned next? Can I ground them for being bad?
This whole notion that spanking=abuse is crazy, like Glenn Beck said, that is like saying giving your child a hug is the same as sexual molestation! Lets ban the ACLU and vote out ANY legislator who supports this stupid bill!!
