Hillary Was For Licenses For Illegals Before She Was Against Them

Update 2: Hillary is now for illegals getting drivers licenses.
Update: Looks like he dropped his plan after the Hillary campaign put pressure on him to do so!
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Do you know if Hillary Clinton had anything to do with Governor Spitzer’s decision to do his 180?
FRED DICKER: Yeah, we believe she did. We were told — I was told — at a very high level in New York politics that Mrs. Clinton’s campaign or some of her top people signalled to Governor Spitzer’s people that he had damaged her. They were wondering what the heck he was up to, why did he bring it to the floor now, and made it clear that the governor was hurting her and he ought to back down if he wanted to help her, which he says he wants to do.
Wow! Is it deju-vu on the 2004 election, or is it a requirement for a Democrat to take both sides and neither on important issues?
Wolf Blitzer, don’t you dare bring this to attention at tomorrow night’s debate. If he does, then he hates women.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday came out against granting driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants, after weeks of pressure in the presidential race to take a position on a now-failed ID plan from her home state governor…
“I support Governor Spitzer’s decision today to withdraw his proposal,†Clinton said in a statement. “As president, I will not support driver’s licenses for undocumented people and will press for comprehensive immigration reform that deals with all of the issues around illegal immigration including border security and fixing our broken system.â€
Clinton stumbled when asked about the issue during a Democratic debate two weeks ago, and her new position comes the day before another debate where opponents are expected to raise the issue again. source
Hey, remember when she supported the idea and then opposed it in the span of about three minutes? And then supported it again?
So which one is it this time? A flip or a flop?
These quotes will be the basis of most political advertisements against her from now until next November — if she actually wins the nomination. Hillary has been exposed as an empty suit on par with John Edwards and Barack Obama. Bill Richardson may be the Democrats’ only hope of actually capturing the White House, if they’re smart enough to recognize it.
