My lord, and they claim to be unbiased?…

Remember that big announcement I promised earlier? Well, it’s now official.

Newsweek press release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Tuesday, November 13, 2007

MARKOS MOULITSAS, FOUNDER AND PUBLISHER OF DAILYKOS.COM,
TO BECOME NEWSWEEK CONTRIBUTOR FOR 2008 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN

New York — Markos Moulitsas, the founder and publisher of dailykos.com, will become a Newsweek contributor for the 2008 presidential campaign, offering occasional opinion pieces to the pages of the magazine and to Newsweek.com.

"We have always sought to represent a diversity of views in Newsweek, and we think Markos will be a great part of that tradition," said Newsweek Editor Jon Meacham. "He will give our readers in print and online a unique perspective. As always, our job is to create the most energetic and illuminating magazine possible, and Markos will help us do that as the campaign unfolds."

Yeah, there’s a lot of heads exploding in wingnutlandia today over this bit of news. But Newsweek is "balancing" me out with someone that should make heads on our side explode. Announcement on that name is still a couple of days off.

“We have always sought to represent a diversity of views in Newsweek . . .”

Yep, they represent a wide diversity alright: Liberal, really liberal, moonbat liberal, etc.

If you want a good laugh, read the comments on that link. “Reality-based community”, indeed.

    Phew!

The only heads exploding are those of the stockholders in
Newsweak. Way to kill the future of your magazine!

Who could they possibly get to balance him? No one and here’s why…conservatives are tasteful. We are educated in not only school, but life as well. And we will always be above all of them. They’re just trying to sell their wares. Unfortunately their souls are tagging along.

While you guys are at it; just “Stop” the Constitution– your heroes in this Administration are already doing a pretty good job.

The progressives have a vision for the constitution for 2020, so I wish the libs would stop wailing about ‘conservatives’ destroying the constitution. It’s communists like Rachel Meeropol (the granddaughter of the infamous Rosenbergs) who are seeking to destroy national security, etc. If the left has their way, ‘the constitution’, along with the electoral college, and the separation of powers will completely be destroyed.

So blame it on conservatives all you want, but I don’t think it’s conservatives who are trying to change all of this. The key to the word ‘conservative’ is ‘conservation’. We’re not trying to change the status quo the way the libs are.

Newsweek is a “Grandpa’s magazine” and doesn’t have much of a future anyway. Nesweek will be even less important this election, which will probably be the last presidential election it will cover anyway.
